This one day course is designed for new EA users to teach them the fundamentals on how Sparx Enterprise Architect works and what you can do with it. You will learn how to navigate through the user interface, create basic models and customize your workspace based on the type of modeling that you need to perform.
This is an introductory course so no previous modeling experience is required. This course will move you from drawing diagrams to modeling.

Introduction to the Sparx Architecture Platform – an overview of the products that make up the Sparx Architecture Platform including basic setups for individuals, small-groups and enterprise deployments.
Configuring the EA workspace – learn how to arrange your Sparx workspace, customize the application look, set preferences and install MDG technologies (add-ins)
Modeling Basics – understand how models and projects are organized, basic navigation, how to open an existing model, creating new models, and importing existing models.
Elements and Relationships – learn how to create new model elements, re-use existing elements, create relationships and perform traceability analysis.
Diagrams – an overview of how to create some of the most common architecture diagrams, including: Swim lanes, Kanban diagrams, heat-maps, graphs and matrices.
Search and Analyze – learn about the various capabilities Sparx EA provides to search and analyze architecture content both locally and in a shared repository
Publish and Share – learn the basic features of creating Word documents, HTML reports and exported images that can be use to share your architecture content with stakeholders
